Goal
To land a job in IT that will give me opportunities to be part of a solid team of employees, as well as play a part in increasing company revenue and streamlining savings in the general office, using my natural organizational talents while also building on my own skills and experience.
Accomplishments
- Attended over 2 years of college classes, maintaining a 3.87 GPA, while also working a full-time warehouse job.
- Assembled and maintained 6 computers, all of which are still in operation and most of which were built with Windows 7 and capable of being upgraded to Windows 8, then Windows 10 with no sacrifice to processing speeds.
- Worked with and learned the ins and outs of every Windows OS since Windows 3.1, excluding Windows NT and Server which were learned through a virtual desktop for limited use in a first-year IT course. Currently learning the Ubuntu OS on a computer built for that purpose.
Special Skills
- Able to type roughly 300 CPM, or 60 WPM
- Strong understanding of computer components and installation of those components as well as software installation.
- Educational experience working with Java using Netbeans and jGrasp, Javascript, HTML, CSS, Microsoft Visio, Access, Word, Powerpoint and Excel, as well as several miscellaneous programs.
Employment History
Warehouse Associate: HHgregg Distribution Center (2014)
- Loading docks on second shift and performing alterations to appliances by customer request. Moved to first shift to perform shipping/recieving duties and assist general manager with first shift duties. Helped to Redesign parts of the warehouse to improve product flow and storage.

Automotive/Diagnostic Technician/Interim Manager: Firestone Complete Auto Care (2005 - 2012)
- Started off changing oil and tires, studied and worked with mentors to learn engine diagnostics. Studies and acquired ASE certifications for repair of steering, suspension and brakes. Worked as salesperson and acting manager of select days of the week, managing up to four other mechanics, customer relations and sales, estimating repairs, and handling credit applications and payment transactions. Built strong working relationships with customers and other employees.
Self-employed: n/a (2004 - 2005)
- Acquisition and sales of antiques and collectibles either online or through auctioneers or antique stores. Maintained customer relationships through auction houses, auction sites like eBay, FastTrack and Florence Online. Stocked and maintained seller cases at multiple antique stores as well as an eBay store with 100% customer ratings.
Security Officer/Site Manager: Industrial Security Services Inc. (2002 - 2004)
- Uniformed, conspicuous duties including manning guard posts, patrols, employee and property safety, fire inspections, etc. Worked with company for four months before being promoted to site manager, with full control of relations with client and authority over seven guards.
